Culture: la première édition du Burkina Festival a débuté au Goethe Institut à Cocody
Under convocation of the President Laurent GBAGBO, the ordinary council of Ministers took place on Thursday 19th 2009.
This council was dedicated to the examination of many individual and general measures related to the attribution of research licenses to the company TAURIAN –Côte d’Ivoire on one hand, and some nominations in the other hand.
Regarding general measures, and on presentation of Minister of Mines and Energy, Ministers Council reviewed 03 projects decree related to attribution of 03 mining exploration licenses to the company TAURIAN Manganese & Ferro Alloy CI SA.
It’s important to remind that the company TAURIAN is very active in our country concerning mining research since many years.
Research authorizations requested concerns Nickel, Manganese and Bauxite, specifically in the areas of Ziémougoula and Ngolodjé, in the department of Odiéné, Divo and Lakota.
The total amount of investment necessary to realize of these works in view of identifying mineralizations and defining their limits, also to estimate deposits highlighted and to develop them is 1 billion 850 millions FCFA.
Taking account of the necessity to develop mining potentialities of areas concerned, and after examination of technical arguments, Ministers Council gave its agreement for granting these mining exploration licenses and submitted their decision to the President for signature:
– A decree for granting 01 license of mining researches to the company TAURIAN Manganese & Ferro Alloy CI SA at Ngolodjé in the department of Odiéné.
– A decree for granting 01 mining researches license to the company TAURIAN Manganese & Ferro Alloy CI SA at Ziémougoula in the department of Odiéné.
– A decree for granting 01 mining researches license to the company TAURIAN Côte d’Ivoire SA in the departments of Divo and Lakota.
In the other hand, to avoid confusion between exploration and exploitation around mining researches works before some of our peoples, President Gbagbo encouraged Minister of Mines and Energy to take necessary care in view of informing and sensitizing populations in areas concerned.
